The revised syllabus (effective January 20, 2026) covers 15 chapters across the full spectrum of research analysis — from the role of a research analyst, Indian securities markets, equity and debt terminology, fundamental and technical analysis, economic and industry analysis, company analysis, valuation principles, corporate actions, commodities, risk and return, research report writing, and the legal and regulatory environment. The examination consists of 80 MCQs and 5 case-based question sets totalling 100 marks, to be completed in 2 hours, with a passing score of 60% and 25% negative marking.
